Franklin County Senior Options

The Franklin County Senior Options program provides help at home and enables residents age 60+ to remain at home as long as possible. Senior Options is funded by the Franklin County Senior Services Levy and administered by the Franklin County Office on Aging (FCOA).

COAAA provides inhome visits and enrollment of clients, as well as case management for approximately 1,800 recipients of services. In addition, COAAA's Provider Relations division monitors the performance of all the Senior Options service providers, ensuring the delivery of quality care for program participants. Staff works with the providers to assure they are meeting all of the program's Conditions of Participation and Service specifications.

To be eligible, a person must be 60 years of age or older, a resident of Franklin County, and have a demonstrated unmet need for service. The FCSO program provides a wide variety of services, including homemaker, home-delivered meals, personal care assistance, transportation, emergency response systems, adult day services, incontinence supplies, nutritional supplements, and durable medical equipment. These services are based on a sliding fee scale, and applicants must provide financial verification in order to enroll.
