Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging is a growing organization with full-time and part-time career opportunities for licensed social workers in assessment and case management, and for registered nurses in our case management, care transitions, and health coaching programs. Our programs serve and support individuals with disabilities and adults age 60 and over.

COAAA is a mission driven organization with a great work culture. COAAA is part of the City of Columbus with excellent benefits; employees are in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) with the employer contribution of 14% to individuals’ retirement. Other available benefits include vision, dental, deferred compensation, life insurance, and more. Staff are not scheduled to work on evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts. Staff members are also able to earn all required continuing education requirements through free in-house trainings. 

After onboarding, orientation, and training, employees can request the ability to work from home and to establish a flexible schedule.

Current Open Positions 

Aging Programs Outreach Specialist (Training and Quality Specialist):  The Training and Quality Specialist will develop consistent training standards and curriculum throughout the agency; will partner and participate with various committees and programs regarding established trainings to provide, develop, and coordinate necessary updates to training formats and materials; and will identify internal staff training and educational needs and track all training. Please apply by 5-20-22 at if interested.

Aging Programs Care Coordinator (Screener, ADRN): The licensed ADRN Screener is responsible for completing comprehensive health and psychosocial assessments of applicants; providing information and referrals as needed; scheduling assessments for waiver programs; and provides mentoring and professional guidance to non-licensed employees who are assisting individuals with crises such as suicidal or homicidal callers; other mental health crisis issues; allegations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an individual.

Aging Programs Care Coordinator (Engagement Specialist, Anthem): The Anthem Engagement Specialist will reach out to members to provide education and resources for those transitioning from the hospital or identified as having a social determinant of health factor.
